Iraqi Basra gas turbine combined cycle power station extension project No.5 unit wins TOC certificate
Recently, the No.5 unit of the Iraqi Basra 650MW gas turbine combined cycle power station extension project, which was undertaken by CMEC as a general contractor, won the TOC certificate issued by the owner. So far, all the five units for the project have been successfully transferred within the year, achieving overall commercial operation of the project.
Upon its completion, the project will effectively mitigate the power shortage in the southern region of Iraq and improve the living quality of local residents.

Cote d'Ivoire’s power grid development and renovation project wins the final inspection certificate
Recently, Cote d'Ivoire’s power grid development and renovation project, which was undertaken by CMEC, has won the FAC certificate issued by the owner for its ZAGNE-TOULEPLEU 225kv line, the last unit project. So far, all the 47 units have won the FAC certificate and CMEC has fulfilled its tasks across the board.
Financed by the Export-Import Bank of China and undertaken by CMEC on behalf of SINOMACH/China National Electric Engineering Corporation, it is the largest electric power project completed by SINOMACH in Cote d'Ivoire. Covering the eastern, central and western regions of Cote d'Ivoire, it is a national key power grid project and involves the construction of over 1,680km 225kv/90kv power transmission & transformation lines and 26 transformer substations, as well as electrified transformation at 500 local villages. The operation of the project significantly increased the operating capability of the national grid of Cote d'Ivoire, strengthened power grid inter-connectivity between Cote d'Ivoireand its neighboring countries and improved living conditions of local residents.
