On the afternoon of November 14, CMEC Group Headquarters (CMEC) convened a seminar on business model of rural revitalization to implement the systematic arrangements made at the 20th CPC National Congress for “advancing rural revitalization across the board”, implement the strategy of “exploring the domestic market while ensuring stability of the overseas market”, and explore to form a new model of rural revitalization business development with characteristics of CMEC. Present at the seminar were Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager Fang Yanshui, leaders of relevant functional departments and business units and specially-invited experts, etc., All subsidiaries of CMEC attended the seminar online.
At the seminar, Deputy General Manager Xie Ke made an opening speech, pointing out that actively exploring businesses related to rural revitalization effectively ensures that CMEC serves the national strategies and practices its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise directly under the central government, complies with the strategic guiding roles of SINOMACH and CMEC Group and the work arrangements of “exploring the domestic market while ensuring stability of the overseas market”, and is of great significance to business operations and development of CMEC. He hopes that the seminar may help further broaden the way of thinking, enrich market development tools, achieve the target of model innovation, contribute to “starting a new undertaking”, and accelerate the “substantialization” process of CMEC.
At the “Topic Sharing” session of the seminar, famous industry experts and corporate leaders were specially invited to share and exchange contents themed on improvement of saline-alkali land, integrated distributed waste management, comprehensive improvement of national space, agriculture, animal husbandry, and poultry breeding, etc., involving policy interpretation, model analysis and experience sharing, etc., arousing great interest and enthusiasm of the participants, who discussed with the presenters actively and enthusiastically, creating a warm atmosphere and producing a marked effect.
When making a summary speech and work arrangements, Fang Yanshui pointed out that vigorously developing rural revitalization businesses is an embodiment of fully implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and applying a new vision of development based on the new stage of development, and an important development opportunity of the Company, and is thus of great significance to for transformation and upgrading of CMEC. He stressed that, thanks to the nearly two years of efforts, CMEC is at a crucial and challenging stage and its domestic business development is turning for better. Therefore, it is more urgent than ever for us to take a live-and-learn approach, grasp the policy opportunities and open up new horizons for innovative development of domestic businesses of CMEC.
Fang Yanshui put forward the three work requirements below:
1. Make rural revitalization businesses the new focus and business growth area of CMEC’s strategy of “exploring the domestic market while ensuring stability of the overseas market”, and do our best to promote business transformation and upgrading of the company.
2. Take steady, strict and good measures for making rural revitalization the Company’s core business.
3. Gain a profound understanding of the meaning of rural revitalization, summarize and comb through business models, product technologies and cooperation resources in a timely manner, develop a batch of tool kits for rural revitalization businesses, and build new core competitiveness of the company.
At last, Fang Yanshui stressed that all employees should constantly raise their political awareness, the company should practice its mission as a state-owned enterprise directly under the central government, take steps for rural revitalization, contribute to modernization of agriculture and rural areas, and write a new chapter of high-quality development of the China’s domestic businesses.
